The Circuit Court of Cole County, Missouri, has certified a Class in a lawsuit against the Missouri Farm Bureau Federation and certain Farm Bureau insurance companies (“Farm Bureau”). If you received notice, then Farm Bureau’s records indicate that you are a Class Member.
The lawsuit alleges, among other things, that monetary losses and other potential damages were incurred because of requests or requirements of you by Farm Bureau to sell Farm Bureau Federation memberships.
The Court has defined the Class as all persons who were agents or district sales managers (DSMs) for any length of time on or after December 19, 2003, in specific circumstances, by Farm Bureau insurance companies including the Missouri Farm Bureau Brokerage; Missouri Farm Bureau Services; Farm Bureau Town & Country Insurance Company of Missouri; Farm Bureau Life Insurance Company of Missouri; Legacy Life Insurance Company of Missouri; and Farm Bureau New Horizons Insurance Company of Missouri.
Class Counsel is requesting additional information regarding Class Member’s work as a Farm Bureau insurance agent or DSM with Farm Bureau. To assist with this process, a Farm Bureau Class Action Survey has been created for Class Members and is available through this website here.
